Finding places in the BMW lineup that aren’t covered from the factory is the tuner’s specialty, and the latest from Alpina doesn’t disappoint: the diesel D3 Biturbo is the 3-series we never had. Yanking the twin-scroll four-cylinder oil-burner from the heart of a 123d, the Germans put their arts to work and raised output for the D3 to 214hp from the stock 204hp. But like all diesels, the fun lies in the low-end rather than the high-end, and with 450Nm on tap, the fun should be in ample supply. Sprinting from rest to 100km/h in just 6.9s and topping out at 244km/h, the D3 combines speed and efficiency. The performance puts the D3 in good standing with the likes of the six-cylinder 325d and 330d - while only burning the fuel required to power four cylinders. The donor engine gets an impressive 5.2L/100km (45mpg US) in its application in the 123d. While the slightly heavier 3-series chassis and more sport-oriented tuning cut into that number somewhat, it still manages 5.9L/100km (40mpg US) and 156g/km CO2. Be se il 123d ha 204cv non è che hanno guadagnato cosi tanto poi ...na decina di cavalli che sia gia ben tirato di serie?
Magari hanno cambiato un bel pò l'erogazione, però se nella versione 320D da 163cv l'Alpina l'ha portata a 200 tondi tondi forse è proprio come dici tu.

According to Alpina, average consumption on the D3 bi-turbo depends on the gearbox, between 5.4 and 5.6 liters.
E' incredibile che sia uscita prima la versione 323d Alpina della versione 323d Bmw... di solito è il contrario... ma cosa aspetta Bmw?
magari e' una questione di iniettori perche se sono quelli a 2000 bar saranno arrivati al massimo dell'efficienza..e non ci sono incrementi significativi di potenza.. ho letto che audi introdurra sul prossimo v6 diesel lo step evolutivo di bosch che vanno a 2.450 ..speriamo anche che li metta bmw nel rest.
Non è detto neanche che esca...quelli della Alpina hanno semplicemente montato un motore della serie 1 sulla serie 3, l'avevano già fatto in passato montando un V8 sulla vecchia E36...quello che è strano è che abbiano preso un motore da un modello più piccolo per montarlo su uno più grande..non capisco perchè BMW non lo voglia fare
vero....pessima combinazione di colori/cerchi cmq guadagnare 10 cv su quel motore alla fine penso che è normale....dato che è gia abbastanza spinto di suo
