Luca 318: it is not nice to declare the amount spent but we have spent money and energy for Research and Development.

The 2,0L has some soft supercharger kits up to 300 hp. Turbocharger kits make 500-750 hp on the 2,0L 24V engine depending on how wild you wanna go. The trick on the 2,0L engine in turbocharger conversions is to increase engine capacity to 2,5L or 2,8L. As we put in new forged pistons why not enlarge capacity? Thus 2,5 or 2,8L out of an old 2,0L and 750 hp. These are crazy numbersa I know but we get it and many 2,0L engines like the Mitsubishi EVO8 s make well over 700 hp.

We are producing a turbocharger kit for the E46 non-M series. For all the E46 6 cylinder engines like 3,20/3,23/3,25/3,28/3,30i we will offer turbocharger kits in less than 2 months. Right now we are working on a Z4 3,0L.

Power will be 50% above the standard engine power on cars with manual transmission. On automatic transmission cars power will be 30% more. Price of the turbocharhger kits will be approximately 2.700 Euro. This is a shocking price.

For the E36 with M52 engine the price is the same. E36 3,20i manuel transmission 225 hp-250 hp.

Stage 2 kits for the M52 make 300 hp. These kits have forged pistons and a bigger fuel system.

Very important part that has to be CHANGED on the M52 is the plastic intake manifold. We are working on an intake manifold for the M52, it will be similar to the M3 intake manifold (below on the photo). We are designing and manufacturing the NEW manifold from aluminium. Standard M52 intake has poor air flow, it is designed to improve low engine speeds up to 3500 rpm and above 3500 rpm the standard design is causing loss of power.

The new intake manifold for all E36 6 cylinder engines will have bigger and shorter runners like the one above on the photo. As the turbocharger will already improve lower engine speeds, we will change the model and improve the design for high engine speed flow.


In stop and go traffic the intake manifold becomes hot. As the air temperature sensor sees that the air is hotter, the ECU pulls back timing. As a result, the engine looses power. We insulate the intake manifold against engine bay heat and this alone increases power in stop and go traffic and also in hot days.
