Confermato il V8 Twin Turbo per F10 M5 - 2011

Niente da fare...l'aspirato inquina troppo per ora...
Il motore per la prossima M5 sarà il 4.4l V8 Biturbo dell'attuale X6M/X5M

The big question BMW enthusiasts have wondered about the upcoming F10 M5 was what powerplant it would receive - a twin turbo V8 (from the X5/X6 M) or the 5.0L V10. It had been reported (and seen) that BMW was testing both the turbo V8 and V10 motors in the F10 M5 test mules spotted in Germany.

Edmunds Inside Line is now reporting that BMW insiders have confirmed that the next F10 M5 engine will be BMW's turbocharged 4.4L V8 as seen in the current X6M / X5M. And although many ///M purists will lament the switch to a forced induction engine from BMW M's traditional naturally aspirated powerplants, this motor will pump out at least 555hp / 500tq (but possibly even more for the M5) while getting greater gas efficiency. This decision is in line with what has been confirmed for the next M3 as well - that it will be powered by a turbo V6 engine (instead of the current NA V8).

Comunque non sono un amante del Turbo...Poi se riescono a farlo spingere e comportarsi come un aspirato per me va bene.
Il turbo peggio per i guasti...

 

Spero che sia solo un "per ora"....ma forse i miei figli...

 

Non è mica per la velocità, ma per il tipo di erogazione...
A me ad esempio di andare forte sul dritto non mi frega nulla. Ma di uscire forte e con erogazione senza sbalzi dalle curve si.

 

...e girato in curva.

Credo che faranno un buon lavoro...sempre che la M di ///M stia per MOTORSPORT e non per MARKETING...

 

Bisogna notare che BITURBO non sta per un turbo per bancata ma per due turbo in cascata o a doppio stadio...cambia molto.

 

Quello è UN turbo enorme...che prima manco si muove, poi parte ed è di colpo un'altro motore....
La nuova M5 avrà il "V8 di 4.4 litri che grazie ad iniezione diretta e trubo a doppio stadio di derivazione nautica sprigiona la bellezza di 555 cavalli"
