Nico, non credo che l'impianto optional sarà comunque ai livelli di quello montato sulla M3.
E' vero che cambieranno le pinze. Ma non penso che i dischi avranno le stesse dimension di quelli dell'emmona.
Senza contare che l'impianto dovrebbe migliorare i freni montati di serie.
Non quelli della Motorsport.

Secondo me i freni "definitivi" li vedremo sulla CSL.

For the launch of BMW Performance, options from the product areas of chassis, powertrain, aerodynamics and cockpit are being offered, specially developed for models of the BMW 3 Series and BMW 1 Series. These have been developed especially for the model in question, are in line with characteristic brand style in terms of technology and design and unreservedly fulfil the high standards of BMW in terms of quality and safety. All BMW Performance products are thus also subject to BMW warranty regulations. The items are sold and installed through BMW dealerships and service partners and also by BMW sales subsidiaries.
Superior driving dynamics comes as standard with every BMW. The components of the BMW Performance line express this with even greater intensity. With the products of the new accessory line, the BMW brand values of dynamic performance, sportiness and innovation can be emphasised in a way which is individually determined by the customer in terms of form and style. The high-quality technical construction and authentic BMW design makes the longstanding racing tradition of the brand come alive on the road. All BMW Performance components are available singly. This means that every driver of a BMW has the opportunity to add clear sporty accentuations in his own areas of preference by means of selected retrofit options. What is more, due to the fact that all items are designed to provide a fascinating sporty experience, the BMW Performance products can also be combined to form a harmonious and integrated overall package.
Aerodynamics: made-to-measure optimisation
The BMW Performance aerodynamics kit ensures optimisation of driving dynamics properties and also guarantees a striking look in everyday traffic. The BMW Performance aerodynamics kit for all models of the BMW 1 Series includes a striking front apron with a highly expressive integrated surround of the BMW kidney grille in black high-gloss look and with dynamically contoured sills.
Model-specific accessories made of carbon fibre are also available to enhance aerodynamics. Carbon exterior mirror caps are available for all models of the BMW 1 Series, the BMW Performance carbon rear spoiler is offered for all models of the BMW 1 Series and the BMW 3 Series sedan and the BMW Performance carbon diffuser for all BMW 1 Series and all BMW 3 Series.
Chassis technology for supreme sporty handling.
The aim to achieve enhanced dynamic performance was also the main focus of the development of BMW Performance components for the chassis. In this product area there is the BMW Performance sports brake system, the BMW Performance chassis, a BMW Performance suspension cross-brace made of carbon fibre and an attractive double-spoke lightweight construction wheel. The BMW Performance sports brake system comprises especially generously sized, vented brake discs with perforations and air slots on the front wheels. The 6-piston fixed caliper brakes at the front axle are finished in striking BMW Performance yellow and also bear the lettering “BMW Performance”. This designation is also to be found on the suspension cross-brace, which is placed in the engine compartment for additional enhancement of body stiffness.
Another new development is the BMW Performance chassis. Due to its especially sporty suspension settings, it ensures improved handling and optimum performance for a very sporty driving style. At the same time, a high degree of comfort is preserved for driving in everyday traffic. The installation of the BMW Performance chassis also lowers the vehicle, thus providing excellent road grip even for the sportiest manoeuvres. The coil springs also provide a striking visual touch due to their design in sporty BMW Performance yellow. The BMW Performance double spoke lightweight construction wheel with its exclusive design underscores the sporty character of the vehicle and increases agility due to its low weight. Depending on the model it is available in the sizes 18 or 19 inch.
Powertrain: optimised air ducting and striking tailpipes.
The new BMW Performance air inlet system is designed to boost the air intake of in-line 6-cylinder petrol engines of the relevant BMW 1 Series and BMW 3 Series models. Based on the standard version, the filter insert and internal air ducting have been modified. This guarantees an improved air flow with less margin for drop in pressure. The system also ensures a sporty sound experience inside the vehicle. The optimisation of power delivery provided by the BMW Performance air intake system also has a positive effect on engine efficiency.
The BMW Performance silencer system is responsible for the acoustic aspect of the increased pulling power. Without impairing the long-distance comfort of the vehicle, the system gives the engine sound a discreet but perceptibly sporty touch. The dual tailpipes in high-quality chrome steel visually highlight the high-tech status of the vehicle. The corrosion-resistant material is also highly durable.
Interior in the style of a sports car.
Anyone who would like to experience the dynamic performance of their BMW especially intensively can create an interior ambience in the style of a sports car by means of BMW Performance products. In particular, the cockpit of a BMW 1 Series or BMW 3 Series can be transformed into an action centre for drivers with sporty ambitions. The cup-shaped BMW Performance sports seats in racing design provide excellent holding, being ergonomically adapted to the human body at the sides, too. In addition to their tangible seating comfort, they offer an impressively refined, slim design with a covering in black Alcantara. Below the integrated headrests there are two openings decorated with synthetic trim elements in ferric grey. Side airbags are also integrated in the seats. The BMW Performance sports seats are available as driver and front passenger seats for the 5-door, 3-door and Coupé models of the BMW 1 Series and for the BMW 3 Series Sedan, BMW 3 Series Touring and BMW 3 Series Coupé.
In addition to being a visual highlight, the BMW Performance gear lever also provides stylish support for dynamic gear shifting. The ergonomically optimised design of the gearshift knob in chrome and black Alcantara facilitates precise handling, and the special gear lever also reduces shift travel by around 25 percent as compared to the standard version.
As a supplement to this, the concept of an innovative multifunction sports steering wheel was also developed for the new BMW Performance range. With its surround in Alcantara and leather, this steering wheel is especially pleasant and solid to hold. In the upper area of the steering wheel rim there is an LED display which shows various items of technical information such as oil and water temperature, transverse and longitudinal acceleration, shift point and time. The various information items can be accessed by pressing the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel.
High-quality and sporty style can be given further emphasis inside the vehicle by means of decor strips in carbon design for the center console and the instrument panel and trim panels for the front and rear doors and the side rear area. And the aluminium pedals and footrest - also part of the BMW Performance program - likewise bring the qualities of a racing car to everyday driving due to their design and functionality.
